Our Story

How Hearts & Home Safety Solutions Began

Hearts & Home Safety Solutions was born from a passion for helping families, protecting children, strengthening family connections, and making safety education and compassionate family support accessible to everyone.

What began as years of professional family visitation services, volunteering, community outreach, and hands-on experience in child passenger safety and injury prevention gradually grew into something much more meaningful.

At the heart of this journey has always been one belief: Every child deserves to feel safe, every family deserves access to education and support, and every parent deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build stronger relationships with their children.

My journey has not always been easy, but every experience, challenge, and opportunity has helped shape the mission and values behind Hearts & Home Safety Solutions.

A Foundation Built on Community Safety and Education

Over the past three years, I dedicated countless hours to rebuilding and supporting a community Child Passenger Safety Program, assisting families with car seat checks, providing education, developing outreach materials, and establishing community partnerships.

Rain or shine, and even when requests came at the last minute, I consistently made it a priority to ensure families received timely, professional, and dependable car seat safety services. Whether it meant working through unfavorable weather, accommodating unexpected appointments, adjusting my personal schedule, or navigating other challenges, I made every effort to be available and fulfill my responsibilities without hesitation or complaint.

Along the way, I personally invested thousands of dollars in car seats, educational resources, outreach materials, and professional development. Beyond my Child Passenger Safety Technician certification, I independently pursued additional training as a CPR/First Aid Instructor, Safe Sleep Ambassador, and in other areas of family and home safety. These investments were made largely on my own time and at my own expense — not because anyone asked me to, but because I genuinely believed that knowledge, preparation, and prevention could save lives.

As my experience grew, so did my vision. I realized that protecting children extends far beyond car seats. Families also need practical education about safe sleep, fire and carbon monoxide safety, burn and poison prevention, CPR, choking emergencies, and everyday household hazards.

However, my passion for protecting children and supporting families extends beyond physical safety. It also includes their emotional well-being, family relationships, and the importance of maintaining safe, meaningful connections.

Supporting Families Through Professional Visitation Services Since 2018

Since 2018, I have been dedicated to supporting children and families through professional supervised visitation and family-centered support services. Throughout these years, I have had the privilege of working with families navigating challenging circumstances, including court-ordered visitation, child welfare involvement, family separation, and reunification efforts.

My experience includes serving as a Visit Specialist, Visit Specialist Trainer, Co-Program Manager, and Compliance Officer, allowing me to develop a well-rounded understanding of family visitation services, program operations, professional standards, and the importance of maintaining safe, structured, and supportive environments for children and their families.

Over the years, I have worked alongside social workers, caregivers, parents, and other professionals to coordinate and facilitate supervised parent-child visits while ensuring that children's physical safety, emotional well-being, and individual needs remain the highest priorities.

My responsibilities have included observing and documenting family interactions, preparing objective and factual visitation reports, identifying and addressing immediate safety concerns, maintaining professional boundaries, coordinating visit arrangements, and supporting positive parent-child engagement within established guidelines.

I believe supervised visitation is much more than simply observing a parent and child spending time together. It is about creating opportunities for meaningful family connections while ensuring that children feel safe, supported, and respected throughout the process.

Working with families since 2018 has taught me that every situation is unique. Some families are working toward reunification, others are navigating complicated transitions, and many are simply trying to maintain important relationships during difficult circumstances.

Regardless of the situation, my approach remains rooted in professionalism, neutrality, compassion, accountability, and respect for every individual involved.

I strive to provide a welcoming, structured, and child-centered environment where families are treated with dignity, expectations are clearly communicated, and safety remains the foundation of every interaction.

My professional visitation experience has also strengthened my passion for family safety education. Whether I am assisting a caregiver with proper car seat use, discussing safe sleep practices, identifying potential safety concerns, or supporting parent-child interactions, I recognize that education, prevention, and family support often go hand in hand.

Since 2018, my commitment has remained the same: to protect children's well-being, support meaningful family connections, and approach every family with fairness, compassion, and professionalism.

Where Family Safety and Family Connections Come Together

Through my work in both community safety education and professional visitation services, I began to recognize how closely these two areas are connected.

A properly installed car seat protects a child during transportation. Safe sleep education helps caregivers understand how to reduce preventable risks. CPR and choking awareness prepare families to respond during emergencies.

Likewise, professional visitation services help create structured opportunities for parent-child interactions, promote consistency, and support children's safety and emotional well-being during challenging family transitions.

While these services may appear different, they share the same foundation:

Protecting children. Educating caregivers. Supporting families. Strengthening connections.

These experiences shaped my vision for an organization that recognizes both the physical and emotional aspects of family safety.

Turning an Unexpected Ending Into a New Beginning

After an unexpected change in my volunteer affiliation, I faced a difficult and emotional turning point. While it was disappointing to close a chapter I had poured so much of my heart into, I knew that my passion for serving families did not end with an organization, position, or title.

My experience in professional family visitation also reminded me that families frequently face unexpected transitions, difficult circumstances, and moments of uncertainty. What matters is how we respond, what we learn, and how we continue moving forward.

Instead of allowing disappointment to define my journey, I chose to turn years of experience, dedication, professional knowledge, and personal investment into a new beginning.

That is how Hearts & Home Safety Solutions came to life.

Built on compassion, education, prevention, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to family well-being — bringing together a passion for community safety education and professional experience supporting families through supervised visitation and family-centered services.

More Than a Business — A Mission With Heart

Hearts & Home Safety Solutions is more than a business. It is a reflection of my personal values, professional experiences, and commitment to helping families feel informed, supported, respected, and safe.

This journey has never been about recognition, titles, or financial rewards. It has always been about the caregiver who leaves a car seat check feeling more confident, the parent who learns a valuable safety skill, the child who feels supported during a family visit, and the families who benefit from having someone approach their circumstances with patience, compassion, and professionalism.

I believe that education empowers families, prevention protects lives, and meaningful connections strengthen relationships.

Whether I am providing child passenger safety education, discussing home safety, facilitating a supervised family visit, or working alongside community partners, my commitment remains the same: to serve with integrity, compassion, professionalism, and a genuine respect for the families who place their trust in these services.
